Labor Day weekend we took a special trip to go see an old college friend, Libby in Kentucky. We went to my university and got to catch up with some professors and reminisce about times past. Then on Saturday, my friend Libby made us a breakfast fit for a king complete with homemade tortillas, eggs, sausage, juice, and fruit, then after breakfast, we relaxed until lunch, then after lunch at a new local Cuban joint, we went on a hike to the butterfly gardens in Lost River Cave, and to top it off a glorious day we went to The PopWorks popsicle place to try their delicious assortment of popsicles! So good and fresh.. https://www.facebook.com/thepopworks/Sunday was church day and then driving back home so we could take a nap to recover from all the vacationing! :)Thanks Libby and Levi for a beautiful weekend!Until Next time :)
Katie + Joey
Just a few days ago I photographed Katie and Joey's engagement session. It was an absolutely gorgeous day. I think it was the warmest day of the year so far, and everyone knows that if it's warm I am happy. The sky could be falling, but if it's 75 degrees outside, I am going outside to watch that sky fall with a half of a watermelon and a spoon in hand ready to eat my weight in watermelon. (oh and I would definitely bring a bit of Mexican lime chile powder to sprinkle on top of my watermelon because that would make the sky falling experience just perfect. Don't judge. I'm weird.blame Mexico) Anyway the weather was amazing and of course they are so very adorable..And ready to explore where ever I took them..... Here's a few of my favorites :)
One Lens
For my photography class we could only use one camera lens for the entire time we shot, and on top of that we had to use a lens that we were uncomfortable using. Apparently you grow when you're uncomfortable. Doesn't make sense to me, but the teacher said so. :) I shot with an 85mm lens, and this is what I came up with.
